Today’s water is very important. Of the available water resources, water is 70 percent on the surface of the earth. But potable water is only 2 percent. 70 percent of this quantity is in the form of ice sheets in Antarctica, Greenland and mountainous regions. It is difficult to reach them. Only 1 percent of human use is available. We get this water in the form of ground water, rivers and water vapor.

The amount of water on earth can neither be decreased nor increased. Water volume remains constant. Evaporation returns to the oceans, air, land and back again through the processes of runoff and precipitation. This process is called water cycle. Humans use water for many things other than drinking, such as agriculture, for animals.

Due to the increasing population, there has been a huge reduction in the supply of fresh fruits. One of the main reasons is the drying up of water sources. There is scarcity of water in most areas of the world like Africa, Asia, Australia or South America etc. Water scarcity is the result of seasonality or variation in rainfall.

Conservation of water resources and access to adequate water sources is a formidable problem facing the world today. We must take concrete steps to fill this gap.

Water Pollution

Water is an extremely valuable resource that is necessary for life. It is necessary for the survival of humans, animals, and plants and serves as the foundation of all living things. However, in many regions of the world, water scarcity is becoming an increasingly serious problem. Because of this, conserving water and making it a priority in our daily lives are crucial.

Water conservation is not only beneficial to the environment but also has the potential to save lives. Droughts, famine, and disease are just a few of the outcomes that can occur when there is a lack of water. Access to clean water is limited in many developing nations, and people must travel far to obtain it. Health problems, unsanitary conditions, and even death may result from this.

There are numerous easy ways to conserve water. Fixing any leaks in your home is one option. Over time, even a minor leak can waste a significant amount of water. Another way to save water is to install low-flow fixtures in your kitchen and bathroom. Compared to conventional fixtures, low-flow toilets, showerheads, and faucets consume significantly less water.

Being aware of how much water you use is another way to save water. When shaving or brushing your teeth, turn off the faucet to save water in the long run. Rainwater collection is another great way to conserve water in your garden. The collected water can be used to water your lawn and plants.

Water conservation is important not only for individuals but also for communities and nations. To ensure that everyone has access to clean water, governments can take measures to encourage water conservation and invest in water infrastructure. Education campaigns can also educate people about the significance of conserving water and inspire them to take action.

In conclusion, conserving water is essential for our planet’s and its inhabitants’ survival. We must all make water conservation a priority in our daily lives and do our part. We can help ensure that everyone has access to clean water and that we preserve this valuable resource for future generations by implementing simple practices like fixing leaks, using low-flow fixtures, and being mindful of our water usage. Keep in mind that conserving water saves lives.
