½ cup unsalted butter melted
2 Cups pecans
2 tablespoons bourbon
6 ounces 60% chocolate chopped in to piece
2 tables spoons unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ cup golden syrup , rice syrup or light corn syrup
¾ cup light brown sugar packed
4 large eggs whisked
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
¾ teaspoon salt

9 inch pie crust, pie shell
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) with rack on lowest position in oven. Firstly preheat the oven to 350 degree.
Have pie crust ready. If using raw pie crust, prick the base a few times with a fork to prevent air bubbles before pouring in the filling. So as not to puff up. When the oven is hot, toast the pecans on a baking sheet for 10 minutes. Roughly chop the roasted pecans. Reserve the other half to decorate the top of the pie. So that looks great.
Boil 1/3 full water in a small pot over medium-high heat. Lower the heat and place a heat-proof bowl over the pot. Fill the cup with chocolate and wait till the chocolate melts and keep stirring continuously.
Add butter to the chocolate and mix well until the butter melts. Mix in cocoa powder until completely dissolved.
Take the bowl off the heat. Whisk in sugar, bourbon, flour, vanilla, sugar syrup, and salt.
Beat eggs together well. Fold in chopped pecans. Pour into prepared pie shell and top with remaining pecans.
Bake until set, 45–50 minutes, if your pie is browning too rapidly, tent loosely with foil.
The pie will puff up when it comes out of the oven, but it will puff up and become flat as it cools. Let cool on wire rack for about 4 hours and serve hot, or refrigerate to chill overnight. Eat with pleasure. Feed your friend relative.
